Funerals & bereavement

Our church is there to help you through one of life’s most difficult times – the death of a loved one it is the opportunity for friends and family to express their grief, to give thanks for the life which has now completed its journey in this world and to commend the person into God’s keeping. The service can take place in the church building or a church minister can conduct a service in a crematorium chapel or cemetery. A Church of England-led funeral is available to everyone, giving support before, during and after the service. Speak to a funeral director and they will contact our Parish Office.

Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.

Matthew 11:28-30
