Kitchen Staff

St Mary and St Cuthbert’s is a vibrant mid sized Anglican church set in the historic town of Chester-le-Street. In our parish centre we run a cafe Monday - Friday 10am - 1pm. This is staffed by a small team of paid kitchen staff and a wider team of experienced and committed volunteers. The Cafe aims to provide affordable, homemade food and drink in a space which is warm, safe and welcoming to all. We are looking for someone to work on Tuesday’s alongside an experienced member of kitchen staff and a team of volunteers. There will be potential for extra hours for holiday cover and as the cafe continues to develop, there may be the option for additional hours too.

Hours of work: 4.5 hours per week, Tuesdays 9.30am-2pm plus holiday cover

Salary: Minimum wage

Length of contract: Permanent subject to 6 months probationary period
